Check Email

The section below provides instructions to access emails on Rainmail Email. A brief overview of the set of functionalities is also provided.

  1. Once you are logged in to Rainmail Webmail, the Start page appears. Click on the E-mail tab (indicated by the red oval)

  1. The Rainmail Email homepage appears. The following table provides an overview of the features available in the Email homepage.

Red Oval 
Folder List 
This list tree displays the email address of the user and the list of all email folders belonging to that user. Rainmail Email, by default contains the following folders:
  1. Inbox
  2. Sent Items
  3. Drafts
  4. Trash
  5. Spam
Users can also create custom folders. By default, the current folder is selected in this list box. A user can navigate to a different folder by clicking on the folder name from the list. Once selected, the application changes to the selected folder and displays the content in that folder. 
Green Oval 
Quick Search functionality 
This application searches for emails that match the given criteria and displays only those emails. This feature contains a combination of a list box and an edit box. It allows user to quickly search for an email in the current folder. Users can select a desired field from the list box. The available list of fields are:
  • Any field (the search string can be in any field)
  • Sender
  • Subject
  • Recipient
  • Recipient (CC)
Users can do a quick search as follows:
  1. Select a field from the list box
  2. Enter the search term in the edit box
  3. Click on Search
The emails that match the specified criteria are displayed 
Pink Oval 
Message Details 
The icons indicate the status of the email. The following icons are used to represent the status
  1. Email is unread
  2. Email has been read
  3. Email has an attachment
  4. Email has been forwarded
  5. Email has been replied to
 
Blue Oval 
View Email 
  1. To see a preview of the email
    • Click on the email message you want to read
    • The content of the email appears in the Webmail home screen. In this view the content of the folder containing the email is also displayed
  2. To see a full page view of the email
    • Double click on the email message you want to read
    • The content of the email appears in the Email home screen. In this view the content of the selected folder is not displayed

Alternately, to view the content of the email in a larger part of the screen, click on the left arrow.
The selected folder's content is hidden and the email message can be viewed in full screen
