View Email Attachment

Rainmail Webmail allows Online View of Email Attachments. Using this feature users can view email attachments online without downloading the same. By default, when a user clicks on an email attachment, the file download dialog pops up and the user is prompted to download the file. When View Email Attachment feature is enabled, the user can preview the file online in the browser window by clicking on the email attachment's filename. 

Also, to view email attachments online, it is required that

  1. Rainmail Server is exposed to Internet
  2. Your Email administrator has enabled this feature and
  3. Your PC are connected to the Internet.
 

This feature can be enabled from the Settings menu in Rainmail Webmail interface as follows:

  1. Login to Rainmail Webmail and click on Settings (indicated by the red oval)

  1. The Settings screen appears. Click on the Email tab (indicated by the red oval)

  1. The following screen appears. Check the box next to View Attachment Online by default (indicated by the red oval)

  1. Click on Ok to close the dialog.
  2. View Email Attachment feature is now enabled.
 

To preview email attachments online:

  1. Login to Rainmail Webmail and go to Email tab
  2. Open the email message and click on the attachment to be previewed. (as shown in the image below)

  1. The file opens in a separate tab on your browser window (as shown in the image below)
